We participated in the closing event of CABEI’s regional Green MSMEs initiative.
Representatives of Puerto Barú in David participated in the closing event for the regional Green MSMEs II initiative, led by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), together with the Government of Germany through KfW and the European Union, where the main results and impacts achieved by the program in Central America and Panama were presented.
During the event, participants shared experiences and outcomes from projects focused on sustainability, capacity building, and the creation of economic opportunities for communities across the region.
Among the initiatives presented was the work carried out by CIFEM in coastal communities in Chiriquí, a process that received the support and collaboration of Puerto Barú in David as part of its commitment to community strengthening and the sustainable development of the surrounding environment.
Through this support, training opportunities were promoted for entrepreneurs linked to marine and coastal ecosystems, encouraging sustainable productive alternatives and circular economy models with growth potential for local communities.
For Puerto Barú in David, efforts like these reflect the importance of building partnerships that contribute not only to project development, but also to the well-being and sustainable growth of the communities that are part of the Chiriquí region.
The company thus reaffirms its commitment to continue supporting initiatives that promote opportunities, sustainability, and comprehensive development for western Panama.
