New Routes Foundation Strengthens Its Partnership with the Food Bank to Benefit Children in Chiriquí.

Since 2025, the partnership between the Food Bank and Fundación Nuevas Rutas of Puerto Barú in David has donated 17,475 kilograms of food to students and families from the schools of Chiriquí, Veladero, La Pita, and Chorcha Abajo.

More than 550 students and their families have directly benefited from this initiative. In 2026 alone, the program has made it possible to serve more than 11,500 meals, helping ensure that children receive nutritious food every day to support their learning and healthy development.

Beyond the numbers, the true impact lies in every meal served, the peace of mind it brings to families, and the collective efforts of teachers, administrative staff, cooks, and partners who make it possible for this program to reach those who need it most each month.
