Preparatory Work Begins for the Rehabilitation of the Water Tank in the District of Chiriquí

We have begun the preparatory work for the rehabilitation of the water storage tank in the Chiriquí district, a concrete step within a process that will benefit more than 5,000 community residents.

With the support of crews from the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN), site-clearing activities were carried out, including vegetation removal and dismantling of the perimeter fence to facilitate the lowering and relocation of the structure. These actions prepare the area for the cranes that will take part in moving the tank, a key stage in the rehabilitation process.

The initiative is being led by the Chiriquí Community Council with the support of Puerto Barú in David and aims to strengthen potable water storage and distribution for the benefit of local families and essential community institutions, including the Chiriquí School and the local health center.

We continue to join efforts with IDAAN and local authorities to advance practical solutions that improve the quality of life of the people of Chiriquí.
