Members of the Association for Environmental Education (AEPRAM) Visit Puerto Barú in David
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the plantings, buffer zone, botanical garden, and the project’s environmental plans firsthand.
David, Chiriquí. Members of the Board of Directors of the Association for Environmental Education (AEPRAM) of Chiriquí visited Puerto Barú in David to learn firsthand about the progress and socio-environmental initiatives being carried out as part of the project.
During the visit, the guests spoke with the project team about the plantings being carried out on the site, the buffer zone, and the internal botanical garden. The Environmental Monitoring Program outlined in the Environmental Impact Assessment and the Early Emergency Plan were also explained. Both are key tools for environmental monitoring and prevention.
For Puerto Barú in David, these opportunities for dialogue and exchange are important for sharing information, addressing questions, and showcasing firsthand the progress of the actions planned for the project’s environmental management. The visit allowed AEPRAM members to directly observe the work being carried out and raise their concerns with the team.
