Puerto Barú Strengthens Its Market Appeal and Surpasses 20 Letters of Intent

During the 3rd Business Forum: Exploring the Investment Outlook 2026, organized by the Chiriquí Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Agriculture, and Tourism (CAMCHI), Puerto Barú in David presented the latest progress of this logistics project, which continues to strengthen its position as one of the most significant infrastructure and development initiatives in western Panama.

The project has now secured more than 20 letters of intent and engaged 47 key stakeholders, figures that reflect strong market interest and growing confidence among companies and investors in Puerto Barú’s potential to enhance competitiveness, logistics, and economic growth in both Chiriquí and Panama.

The business forum brought together more than 150 local and multinational companies, consolidating its role as a key platform for the exchange of ideas and the discussion of strategic projects that will help shape the country’s economic future.

Puerto Barú’s participation provided an opportunity to share with business leaders, investors, and representatives from various sectors the progress achieved to date, as well as the opportunities the project represents for job creation, investment attraction, and the strengthening of regional connectivity.

During his presentation, Ismael González, General Director of the project, provided a detailed overview of Puerto Barú’s progress, highlighting its development milestones, strategic vision, and the growing interest from the business community, reaffirming its role as a key driver of economic and logistics development in the region.
