Nuevas Rutas Foundation and Greatness Center join forces to transform education in Chiriquí

We are pleased to announce that our Nuevas Rutas Foundation of Puerto Barú in David has entered into a strategic partnership with Greatness Center that will mark a turning point in education in the region: the implementation of the “Leader in Me®” program in a school in Chiriquí. This initiative will impact more than 400 members of our educational community, including 269 students, teachers, administrative staff, and parents.

Developed in collaboration with FranklinCovey Education, “Leader in Me®” integrates values-based leadership skills into the school curriculum, promoting self-directed learning, critical thinking, and personal responsibility. We strongly identify with its core premise: every student possesses unique talents and the potential to become an agent of change in their community. With a duration of three years (2026–2028), we will support the entire educational community through teacher and administrative staff training, coaching sessions, parent workshops, and access to specialized educational tools.

Through this partnership, we aim to empower students, cultivate leadership, and invest in their growth, because we are convinced that they are the future of the country,” said our President, Mónica Suero. In the same vein, our Director, Ismael González, emphasized: “This alliance reflects our commitment to the social development of the region. We seek to create real opportunities for the youth of Chiriquí and support them in building their future.”

With this initiative, we join a network that already includes 84 schools nationwide, benefiting more than 30,000 students through the Leader Schools model. We reaffirm our vision of building stronger communities from within, preparing the next generations of Chiriquí with the key skills required for the 21st century.
