Eduardo A.G. Bolt is a practicing attorney in the State of California, USA. Eduardo is fundamentally a corporate transactional attorney who specializes in (i) acquisitions of large real estate properties – primarily business, commercial and industrial properties, (ii) mergers and acquisitions (of stock or assets) of companies – both publicly traded and private entities – throughout his practice of law. During the last 36 years of his career, Eduardo has been an equity partner of three large national US law firms (Gordon & Rees/Gordon,Rees, & Scully, Tressler, LLC and Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker). In his last 23 years of his law practice, Eduardo has been the partner in charge of his law firm’s Latin American Practice Group, representing US and foreign companies in projects in the countries of Panama, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia and the Dominican Republic. During this time Eduardo has, among others, represented US corporate clients in (i) the formation, mergers and dissolutions of foreign entity subsidiaries, (ii) the acquisition of government concessions in the field of storage, blending and distribution of bunker oil and maritime fuels, (iii) securing government licenses to generate and distribute electricity in Panama and Mexico, and (iv) purchase and development of hotels and multi-residential resort housing projects, including the financing, design and construction of the same. Eduardo has been a speaker and presenter at the US Trade and Development Agency in Washington D. C., to address representatives of Latin American governments in the process of securing feasibility study grants and the guarantee or financing of projects. Eduardo has been, for several years since 2004, a component of a Panel of Experts with members of the US Department of Justice on presentations on the subject of US companies’ compliance with the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in transactions in Latin American countries.
